In accordance with the REACH Regulation, we are obliged to ensure the flow of information along the supply chain. Consequently, as the link between the raw materials manufacturer and the client, Pinova also has the task of communicating all information relevant to REACH in both directions. For this reason, and with the assistance of the CEPE standard (http://www.cepe.org), we have decided to inform the suppliers of raw materials about your application, in accordance with the Use Descriptor model.

 

Use Descriptors

In order to structure the large number of different uses for substances and preparations which currently exist in various industrial sectors, ECHA has developed a system for the structured und standardized description of these uses. This Use Descriptor System is based on five separate categories. Each category has predefined descriptors which, when combined together, allow a brief description of the use in question.

 

The five categories are:

  • Sector of Use (SU) (industrial sector)
  • Chemical Product Category (PC)
  • Process Category (PROC)
  • Article Category (AC)
  • Environmental Release Category (ERC)
     

We have now forwarded the following descriptions, in accordance with the Use Descriptor Model for you, to the manufacturers/suppliers of raw materials.
